Some Things Only Kind Of Change

A few days ago some neighbor kids were playing outside and I heard one girl say, 

"Go get your sister and your cousin, we're playing House."

I said to my husband,

"I'm glad to know kids still play House!"

Then the girl said to one of the boys,

"I'm your mom, but not really.  I'm your step-mom."
